About the Course
LEAD (Learn; Enhance; Aspire; Deliver) is designed for senior executives in industry-leading enterprises as well as for proprietors of growing businesses seeking to renew their business knowledge and managerial capabilities, and sharpen their leadership acumen.
The one year programme is divided into four quarterly modules. Each module will be of 10 days. Thus the 40 day in-campus schedule is divided into four distinct modules which will be delivered at intervals of 11 weeks each. Every module brings together faculty from different disciplines in management to provide participants a broad engagement with an overarching senior managerial capability.
The first module, LEARN, aims to help participants achieve functional proficiency in the fundamental disciplines of management, such as Finance, and Marketing. The second module seeks to ENHANCE participants' cognitive capacity by exposing them to experts on higher-order managerial capabilities such as design thinking and strategic analysis. Subsequently, the third module, ASPIRE, hopes to foster an urge amongst participants to tackle contemporary challenges in management by imbibing, for example, an appreciation for the digital disruption across industries and the ongoing character of innovation in organizations. Finally, in the fourth module, participants gain insights on how to DELIVER distinctive execution inside organizations through a deep immersion in lectures, exercises, and case discussions around themes such as leadership and change, and through workshops with present/past CEOs reflecting on their experiences.
The participants will also be required to successfully complete a comprehensive project. Each project will be supervised by an IIMC faculty. There will be online briefing sessions, progress seminars and final presentation. All project elements will be delivered online.

The participants would be required to successfully complete a comprehensive project. Each project will be supervised by an IIMC faculty. The Project will include will be briefing sessions, progress seminars and final presentation that will be conducted Online.
Select faculty from IIM Calcutta will conduct this programme. Faculty will be chosen from across the different academic groups of the Institute. Profiles of faculty members are available at https://iimcal.ac.in/faculty
In addition, there will also be a sessions by current and past CEOs, sharing their experience of leading organizations.
On completion of the programme the participant will receive a certificate of successful completion from IIM Calcutta. The candidates will also be awarded Alumni status by IIM Calcutta.
Lead is aimed at senior executives in industry-leading enterprises and proprietors of growing businesses.
Applicants should be
- Working Professionals with a minimum of 15 years of experience, in a position not more than 2 levels below the CEO of the organization
- Proprietors/Directors of large corporations with an annual turnover above Rs. 500 crores
What are the class/session timings?
The programme will be delivered through a mix of classes at IIM Calcutta campus and sessions in direct to device mode. The total duration of the programme is one year divided into four quarterly modules. Each campus module will be for ten days. Thus the 40 day in-campus schedule is divided into four distinct modules which will be delivered at intervals of around 11 weeks each. The programme will be delivered both in classroom and direct-to-device (DTD) mode. The classroom sessions will cover programme content mentioned here.
Forty days of in-campus sessions will be held at MDC (Management Development Centre) at IIM Calcutta campus.
The participants would be required to successfully complete a comprehensive project. Each project will be supervised by an IIM Calcutta faculty. There will be briefing sessions, progress seminars and final presentation. These elements (equivalent to 60 hours) will be delivered online in direct to device mode. These sessions will be held on Sundays at pre-announced timings.
What happens if I miss a session?
We provide you with recordings of each session that you can view anytime you want.So if you miss any live class, you may refer to the recordings of that session.
What is your refund policy?
After registering for the programme if for some reason you are unable or unwilling to participate in the programme then you can apply for a refund. You can initiate refund any time before start of the course by sending a mail to Support@training.com with your enrolment details and bank account details (where you want the amount to be transferred). Once you initiate a refund request you will receive the amount within 30 days after confirmation of refund request.This is provided you have not downloaded any courseware for the course.
